During the week of 17-23rd March 2024, 6 students, accompanied by two teachers, Mr Loizos Kazafaniotis (Mathematics) and Mrs Kalia Christofidou (Health Education) travelled to Italy, and more specifically to Niventa Vincentina to participate in the first students’ mobility of the Erasmus+ program. Twelve students coming from Spain and Portugal, as well as students from the hosting school also participated in this mobility.
Students and teachers had the opportunity to be part of many interesting activities taking place in and outside the school’s premises. During the abovementioned week, teachers observed lessons and were part of interactive workshops relating the environment. In addition, teachers attended a seminar by a representative of the non-profit organization “Collectors of Incivility”, an organization aiming in increasing citizens’ awareness to reduce waste and environmental pollution.
Each team had also prepared a presentation about their country, their school as well as two traditional dances and or songs. This was an excellent opportunity to get to know their peers’ countries and culture and to interact with each other.
In addition, the program included tours of Verona and Venice, two of the most famous cities in Italy. This was an amazing opportunity for the participants to get acquainted with the cities and some of their famous sites but also, to be part of the Italian culture.
Most importantly, this mobility was the beginning of friendships that will last forever, as well as the realization of the fact that even though people live in different countries, there are many things that can unite them and bring them together.
