ERASMUS+ Job Shadowing in Leiria, Portugal
Exploring Innovation in Education
As part of an exciting ERASMUS+ job shadowing initiative, one of our educators traveled to Leiria, Portugal in October, to explore a variety of educational institutions—including a music school, an athletic school, a tourism school, and a university.
This unique experience offered a firsthand look at diverse teaching methods and innovative approaches to student engagement. From integrating creativity and physical activity into lessons to fostering career-oriented skills through project-based learning, the visit provided a wealth of inspiration.
Working alongside Portuguese educators and students in a multicultural setting also helped strengthen communication and adaptability—skills that are essential in today’s global classroom.
The insights and ideas gained during this enriching journey are already making their way into our own classrooms, bringing fresh energy and new strategies to support our students’ learning and growth.
